Manila (Mis)Adventures: Yoroshiku (First St., Mendiola)

Yoroshiku doesn't actually directly translate to anything in English.  According to urbandictionary,
Yoroshiku is a phrase used only in Japanese, which is what you usually say to somebody as a greeting. It's difficult to translate to English, but it is used as a polite "Nice to see/meet you." and is usually accompanied by Hajimemashite (Nice to meet you.)

When people hear the price 88, they usually think of Daiso or Japan Home. But not on this street, Yoroshiku is the only japanese place that serves food for only 88.

Chicken Karaage ₱88

I had this craving for chicken skin and I don't want to eat it at the streets so I choose Chicken Karaage. The chicken was served hot and fresh off the pan. It was crispy and tender with melt-in-your-mouth goodness. You can eat it without gravy and it will still taste good.

All meals are served with miso soup. Their miso soup now has special place in my heart. I don't really like miso soup but for some reason,  it's so mild and yet flavorful that I like it.

Add ₱15 for drinks and you can choose from orange with calamansi or iced tea. But if you're really on a budget, they serve water in pitchers.

The owner is actually Japanese and if you're lucky he might be there to serve you. He is very nice, accommodating and also makes jokes.

Every table has a number and we found out that there are trivias on the back of the card.

Here's a fun fact:
