FEU Makati-Trade Fair

I've always wanted to take part in a trade fair. In my mind, the word "trade fair" gives off a picture of rides, food, booths and colorful decorations that clearly depict an American type of fair. Fairs usually have that fun and happy vibe that correspond to the colors used, occasion and season on which it is held.

However, such image of a fair is outdated or perhaps that of a foreign soil. Amusement parks are the most common to come to mind when told of these descriptions.Fairs as I've come to know in this time, for the Philippines, are held at World Trade Center. Then I realized, maybe because tiangge/s are common and therefore considered as the same on some extent.

So when I learned that we were going to have a trade fair at school, we decided to join and have a food business. I'm very proud of the concept we used. Simply because it was really fun, imaginative and appropriate for today's youth and their humor.

We named the booth,"KAHIT SAAN" because usually when you ask your friends,"Saan tayo kakain?" (Where will we eat?) They'll reply, kahit saan. (Wherever) Then we named our products based on how people will answer the question, Ano kakain mo? (What will you eat?) such as kahit ano (whatever), ikaw bahala (you choose), ewan (i don't know), kung ano kanya (what he picks) and etc.

It was mind blowing when the customers will really use the names and we were not sure what product they are referring to since we just taped the names to random jars. We sold iced tea, various types of candies and wafers with dip on the first day. I had a fab time as expected!

(Unfortunately, can't finish this post. Blogger seems to have a problem! I can't upload pictures :( Tata!)
